Unless OP actually has high hopes for this blind date, which would be a fairly important detail to neglect, I do not see why there can be so much stress.

Assuming the OP wants the blind date to work out, he'd have to impress the family also.
Unless you expect him to just go there and DGAF about anything and just blab out anything, then there is no pressure whatsoever. But then what is the point of even trying in the first place?
