Make sure all the little push connectors are correctly on the igniter, it's possible to get it in the boot but have the male connector miss the blade. That could be enough to do it.

Also seen guys snap the distributor caps coil contact off when installing the cap.

Pull the wires, one at a time, stick a spark plug into 1 wire at a time, ground the plug on a valve cover nut, have someone crank it over while you watch for spark.
