The other word people might see thrown around when discussing names and forestry roads and stuff is "bench" which in geology is the term for a thin, flatish strip of land with distinct steeper sections on both sides of it. You'll see roads named like that all over the Okanagan but in our context it'll tell you that the FSR probably has some pretty good drop-offs on one side (and therefore generally good views). The last pictures I posted to this thread were taken up Chilliwack Bench FSR for example which parallels Chilliwack Lake Rd on the other side of the river except up on the hillside rather than at the valley floor.
