the first new autoart composite model... note the comments about being cast in color (ie. not painted) and the lower price:

Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3. This is AUTOart's first composite model.
Diecast chassis with ABS Plastic body. The body is cast in the final colour so this reduces the risk of paint scratches or blemishes.
Doors open to reveal a well detailed interior. Remember this is a race car so the interior is pretty spartan.
Panel gaps between the door and the body are very close. The engine bay and trunk/boot are sealed.
The wheel and brake detail is as good as any other AUTOart model. The wheels roll and the front wheels steer.
Oddly the model feels light but maybe that's just a perception as I know it is ABS plastic. The Aston Martin weighs 632grams. By way of comparison my Aston Martin DB9R, also from AUTOart weighs 584 grams and my AUTOart Allan Moffat A9X Torana weighs 792 grams.
The Aston Martin feels warm to touch unlike a diecast model that feels metallic and cool to touch.
Keeping the car clean will I believe present a problem. Because the car is made of ABS it attracts dust and the dust then sticks to the plastic finish.
On the plus side the car cost US$122.90 which is a significant price drop for most AUTOart models.
