I know for sure that the cam galling issue affects all EP3 before the facelift, and I am not sure whether it affects the base RSX. However, I seem to think that the issue does not affect the RSX Type S cars.

Then again, the Type S cars have their own problems to deal with -- namely the transmission grinding issue and the less than ideal rear suspension.
