More often than not, UA has price blunders flying out of SFO since it's their west coast hub. If you can score a cheap flight down to SFO and then pick up a fare blunder on UA, you're golden as long as you're Star Alliance.
I used to do mileage runs back in the day, but thank goodness, I don't need to anymore. I'm glad those days are behind me.
