He actually got a really good deal considering the hot market right now, the mileage and overall condition of the car and the current exchange rate. I had been looking for at least 10 months for a nice clean one and when they came up they sold in days; if not hours.
'97 with 10k miles = $41k USD
'97 with 59k miles = $28k USD
'01 NHBP with 40k miles = $19.5k USD (over a year ago when the dollar was par)
'01 PY with 25k miles = $25k USD (over a year ago as well)
The collector status of the ITR is among us whether we like it or not.
