Your point is right though ... people keep telling me to carry bear spray and I keep forgetting to get some. I have run into a couple of meandering black bears over the year and they weren't bothered by me but the circumstances could have been very different.

my buddy and i thought it couldve been a brown bear but it was furry and god damn huge. all i know is.. it was a bear.
