17 is too big. 16 is the largest you can run on this chassis without looking silly.

with that said an 8" rim is wide enough to run a 205/45 with a bit of a stretch, 205/50 if you want a little more meat or a 215/45 if you want the tire to fit a little more aggressive looking

as goes for offset, with a good roll and 2ish degrees of camber you can get away with +25 offset.

if you are looking for a safer route with a less aggressive stance a +35 offset is more ideal

if you dont wanna roll the fenders (bad idea) you will need at lest a +35 offset with an 8" wheel

if you wanna run a 7" you can get away with a +25 offset wheel without a roll im sure
