I always ask the FAs to hang it in the closet. Garment bag, suit case, nuclear bomb proof case - the suit will always have some wrinkles. If you can afford some wrinkles, just pack the pants and wear the jacket. Iron the pants when at hotel.

Check to see which airplane you are flying on. Some planes do not have a closet.

Don't throw it into the overhead bin unless you are sure it is not a full flight. Otherwise, you're pretty much screwed if you throw it up there.
