Shaw Wifi is slow and always disconnects. I always have data on my phone. Is just easier to communicate with family and friends on what's app, wechat etc etc.... When I was in China a week ago, I have no data on my phone (didn't get any cell phone plan) so mostly rely on WiFi which seems to be norm there. Even people who have data on their phone, the first thing they ask at any restaurant, hotel, karoake etc etc is for WiFi. One of reason for that is because their data is slow. We are talking about 2g mostly and sometimes 3g so it make sense to use WiFi.

To be honest I though I would crazy before my trip since I am so attach to the Internet in general (Weather is surfing on my phone or ipad watching Netflix). But I did just fine with very limited Internet access. So it turns out we don't really need Internet access all the time.
