I searched for a Euro account here in Canada and was unable to find one, was told I had to open up one in Europe. Ended up buying things on CC(So I didn't have to carry lots of cash around for 6 weeks) or else withdrawing from my debit card at ATMs that use the Cirrus network. At two large banks I think I was getting charged $2.00 and $3.00 CAD per withdrawal.
