Once you get your will kit filled in.. do take it to a lawyer.. ANY lawyer even Lionel Hutz who will put his stamp on it.. once his/her stamp is on it, BC Law society's insurance is on the hook.
Those kits might not cover every scenario especially if your family life was complicated (former cohabitation etc, remember the definition is pretty darn short these days).
It will add a few hundred bucks on top, but if you care about your descendants not going to try to murder each other over your estate then get lawyer to have a once over..
You will be dead anyways.
