Android wear on iOS. Quick review
Quick review for those iPhone users that might want an Android Wear device. This is mainly towards the moto 360 as it's the device I'm using.
1) Make sure you have an android device lying around or friends that have one. Chances is you'll need to update the watch before you can sync it with your iPhone. The update process takes a while I left mine overnight to process
Quick review for those iPhone users that might want an Android Wear device. This is mainly towards the moto 360 as it's the device I'm using.
1) Make sure you have an android device lying around or friends that have one. Chances is you'll need to update the watch before you can sync it with your iPhone
2) Don't expect it to be polished and Apple Watch. Simply put this is 3rd party device so it won't work as well. You can't reply to basically anything other than Gmail. You can get notifications the only thing you can do with them is dismiss.
3) Delay. If you want notifications to be snappy get an Apple Watch. The delay that notifications come in takes 5-10 seconds. That doesn't seem long but imagine this, your phone rings because of a message. You look at your watch. A few seconds go by then you see your message.
4) Usefulness, why get a moto 360 when a pebble does the exact same thing. At the current time with limited support its an overpriced pebble
5) Battery life, I didn't expect this to be good consider the screen and what's running inside but during my first day of use at noon I'm at 60% and I took it off the charger this morning at 8am.
Overall, I think it looks pretty cool. UI is different which I like. But comparing to my current daily driver the original pebble I don't think it's worth the "upgrade"
