As for yesterday's race... good gracious.

Dry - RAIN - Dry ... drama!!!!

-I got the sense that Rossi was racing to beat Lorenzo more than he was to win the race itself. When the two were the last on rain tyres you could literally see them shredding apart. I kept thinking ... Rossi is playing chicken with Lorenzo and somebody's tire is going to completely come apart.

-I'm so used to F1 I kept screaming out loud : "BOX, BOX, BOX, BOX, BOX, BOX, BOX!!!!!!" Lewis Hamilton style. =)

-I yelled and screamed a lot during this race ... especially when the riders first started pitting for their rain tyres. So much excitement and chaos.

-Rossi's biggest mistake was staying out one lap two long. He got VERY lucky that Lorenzo failed to finish the race.

-Cannot believe that somebody that crashed made the podium. If EVER there is an example of why you DON'T GIVE up no matter what's that!!! Kudos to Scott Redding for not quitting on the race or his team and sponsors. It was hilarious when he was in the fourth and the announcers were basically, "didn't ... didn't he crash earlier in the race??!?!?"

I'm sorely disappointed in Rossi's results but at the same time, I really don't know what to make of it. He only grabbed a measly 11 points from Lorenzo's DNF, but you can tell after Marquez's DNF last race that Rossi only cares about beating Lorenzo now.

However, the thing that's dangerous about Lorenzo despite Rossi's 26 point lead is when Lorenzo wins, he wins in streaks and those races don't even come close for this season. So when Lorenzo goes hot, that 26 point lead is almost no buffer at all.

Whether or not focusing only on Lorenzo from this point out, and losing important points to the satellites like in Misano will help more than it hurts, I guess we all have to wait to the last race to find out. But I suppose you don't win 7 GP titles without knowing what you're doing.

Goodness, you're absolutely right about the drama and excitement part the way this season is unfolding. These last handful of races can't come any sooner.
