Keep in mind that if you "Cancel" your insurance, your car is not covered in the event ANYTHING happens to it while you're away.

You can put storage insurance on it, which isn't too expensive.

I should have stipulated that when I say it's not "worth it" i'm basing that on the roughly $100 a month it costs me for insurance. It's not worth MY time of dicking around at the insurance office, and changing my plates to save a hundred bucks or so.
