did crown mountain 2 weeks ago, was fairly challenging especially since you have to do the grind to get to the start. also if you're not used to boulder fields and exposed scrambling it may be a bit of a challenge.
on saturday i did the howe sound crest trail which is a 29km trail from cypress to porteau cove. i got a ride at 7am and finished at 430pm and hitchiked home. 9.5hrs at a reasonably fast pace, ran all the flat portions. did it solo but met some trail runners in between who i kept up with for about half the hike then they were gone! bit too fast for me and didnt wait for me either. i dont recommend this as a day hike unless you're a trail runner because even if you're doing it at a decent speed it will take 12 hours. its better as an overnight trip for most.
