The Blue Jays lost to a Royals team with superior pitching team and a more balanced offence. The Royals have players who can get hits and get on base while Toronto relies too much on the home runs.
Jays have trouble winning games when it is a low scoring game. Only Bautista gave this team a chance in game 6 with his home runs. What a catch by Revere at the fence. Talk about hustle.
Mad respect for Joey Batts for the way elevated that he his play in this year's playoffs. That home run in game 5 vs. the Rangers and the bat flip are legendary!
The Jays must improve their pitching in order to have a chance to get to a World Series. Although David Price made a good adjustment in game 6 by throwing his curve ball to help him get strike out Royals players, he still has no playoff wins. He is a free agent. Jays president Anthopoulos has no new contract. I hope this president stays with the team so that he can sign a pitcher who can win in the post season.
Fans of the Blue Jays should be proud of what this team accomplished. Who would have thought a .500 team in mid season would win the AL east division, win 11 straight games at one point, and go to the ALCS?
This team played well for each other and its fans. Donaldson, Tulowitzki, and Price made this team stronger to make the playoffs.
Go Jays go! This team will be fun to watch next season.
