I'd go full EV before I'd get a hybrid that can be driven by either the gas or electric though, since the engine cools so quickly when it's off you end up driving on a cold engine anytime it uses the gas and heatcycle the living daylights out of the poor thing.

EV is a bit more "meaningful" when you have "clean" electricity as well, like here in BC where it's mostly hydro-generated. Somewhere that's all coal-generated power, you're really not improving the situation much over just burning dino yourself.
