Perhaps Porsche is filming a commercial in the Lower Mainland in order to take advantage of the variety of terrain and road conditions here?

I know for a fact that car manufacturers like BMW, Mazda, Lexus, etc, bring in their own staff, foreign workers with a temporary work permit, to drive their cars during the filming of TV ads. These foreign workers also work as "car prep technicians" to make the cars look good on TV.

We also have a good talent pool of film and camera crew in BC and a low Canadian dollar. Maybe it's more affordable to film a Porsche commercial in BC than to make the commercial in Europe.
