2002 VW Jetta 2.0 MIL and shift issues
Hey guys. I have a 2002 VW Jetta 2.0 with about 130000km.
Yesterday as I was driving the MIL light came on. All was still operating ok so I just went home, figuring I'd call the dealer today.
Well this morning when I got up, car started up fine. Shifts into gears fine, BUT
Won't upshift. Seems to be stuck in gear 2. Reverse, neutral and Park are all engaging well. Not banging droning, burning smell or lagging.
It seems perfectly fine minus the fact that it's just...well...in 2nd gear?
(I'm just assuming it's 2nd gear because the car at 60km/h is revvin 3000rpm)
Anyone help me out?
PS - Haven't had a chance to scan for codes yet. Will do it tonight
