I use my amex gold card for all travel grocery and gas...about 30 to 40k spend on that a year yields me 60to 80k points since those cats gores earn at 2x.
Then on my amex plat I spend about 40k a year so that gets me abother 50k MR points. Since everything is 1.25x
So that's 110 to 130k Mr points a year
Convert that to avios or aeroplan. ...wait for a promo where it's 25% bonus. And that's usually enough for a round trip in J every year.
