I started the break in of the coil at 10w. But really anything past 28w changes the flavor completely.
The wattage range usually doesn't have much to do with taste, as that (typically) depends on the juice.

All the recommended wattage range really determines is a sweet spot that doesn't burn your coil's cotton too fast.

You'll notice different juices bring out different flavors at different wattages/temperatures. Also, word on the street is that for some reason claptons are better used with dessert flavors than fruit flavors.

I even read about some juice that was purposely made to taste different at high and low temps

Hm, never had much of a problem with spitting with 22. I found 22 heats more "evenly"? like its a quick but steady increase to desired temp (watts), then it steadily decreases. With 24 I find that it's like on/off. Like as soon as you press the button it fires at 100% and then immediately drops to 0 when you let go. Not really a bad thing, maybe it's my builds, or I'm just used to the 22.
