My friend had a bottle at his house... I did not like it all. It's got a funky aftertaste.
Some other high priced vodka I did not like are Uluvka and that Crystal Head Skull vodka. I'll take Stoli and Ketel One over those 2 any day and they are less than half the price.

Where in Japan are you right now? I found the Hibiki 21 by stroke of luck in Ikeda near the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. They were being sold at that store for 27,000JPY (taxes inclusive). Later that day I was strolling around the department stores in Umeda and found a gold mine of Japanese Whiskeys still in stock and being sold in Hanshin: Yamazaki 12, Yamazaki Limited Edition 2015 and several Hibiki 21's; they were 9,500, 10,000 and 25,000JPY respectively (duty-free prices, just make sure you bring your passport along for a tax refund). Hope you can still score some.
Kansai airport also had plenty of Yamazaki 18 Limited Editions in stock for 50,000JPY, but thats too rich for my taste

Wow for $330 I would have tried to clean house haha outside of Japan those would be like 300% mark up. Nice score!
