Tuesday, March 8 marks National Pancake Day at IHOP restaurants, and across North America, they’ll be giving away free short stacks of buttermilk pancakes.
The National Pancake Day event is actually a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network and their local hospitals (in British Columbia it’s the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation) so guests who come in for the free pancakes are urged to leave a donation. The fundraiser is in its 11th year, and the California-based company hopes to raise $3.5 million for charity this year.
