Car enthusiasts complain because there's no manual shift. Before then, they were complaining about fuel injection instead of carburetor for some reason. Same as ABS, traction control, launch control, stability control, etc.
Motorcycle enthusiasts complain because of fuel injection and electric start. They like to choke the engine, kick start, warm it up for 2 min and go. Many of them don't like Panigale and R1M because of modern technology. That's why people are bringing back cafe racers.
Airplane enthusiasts complain because of modern electronics. They like to use magnetos, fuel primer, adjust mixture, warm it up, etc. and go. They don't like Vanair, Glasair or Lancair making modern electornics with glass cockpit. They like to stick with taildraggers like Piper Cub and Cessna 120 or something.
