Even if he starts losing at 155 he can still rule the 145 division again. Will he be as big a star as he was yesterday? I doubt it, but he won't be 'fading into oblivion' until the UFC itself does.
I'm confused on how you think it's low risk? I'd say its pretty risky fighting 2 weight classes above on short notice....
