I had the best of intentions for getting the Rally Bug out for the Spring Meet, but Wednesday morning it still didn't have a motor installed...guess it's finally time to do some Winter maintenance.
Spoiler!
Forget walnut shells, the 'proper way' to clean valves is to yank 'em right out! Needless to say, I've been running it with a rich tune and they're rather nasty.
Cleaned up the cylinder heads and pistons while I was in there. Mmmmm...freshies.
There is something awesome about wrapped exhaust systems. Of course, I have to say that it's a terrible idea. Hides cracks, soaks up oil, makes the system rust. But, in my case I run the oil lines close to the exhaust so it's a necessary evil.
By Saturday afternoon it was ready to go back in...
And by Saturday dinner, it had fired up. Of course, the moment I finished it started to rain...
Sigh...here it sits, undercover, waiting for a break in the rain. Can't wait to add to the stone chips :P
