I heard you can get up to 20. I got into my first 8 man mission on hard and it was epic.
not sure exactly how, but the way I did it was by kicking people who were joining my game for the mission and then other people joining. I presume they were still on the loading screen into my game when they got kicked thats why their still in the same server/mission
