I have a friend that has an SXP and he loves it - shoots it quite well. Choosing a shotgun is all about how they fit you. If it's an expensive shotgun, you get them fit for you by a gunsmith that will lengthen/shorten the LOP and raise or lower the comb. On a cheaper shotgun (sub $1000) then the gun has to fit you or it really isn't worth the cost to have it modified.
I have an old Mossberg pump that I like to shoot, plus an old Breda 12g semi that fits me perfect. I also have a couple of 20g that I love shooting, they all fit me well. I don;t even look at other shotguns anymore - I'm set.
