Anyone have any suggestions on a reliable older bike for myself?

Looking to buy an older collector to store at my moms on the island. I need some wheels on that side when I have the Datsun under the knife. I'm really digging the '70's classics right now. Not only are they fairly cheap, but I love the looks. Hoping to keep things OEM to get Collectors plates. Anything to aim for, any type to stay away from?

The small CB's, and the first gen Goldwing's draw my attention (Never thought i'd like a Goldwing, but that first gen is great when stripped to the bones).

I owned a SV650 for many years. The "sport" bike was fun, but I got bored. Looking for something decently reliable that I can tinker with and get me from A to B, including some highway time. Number 1 priority is cost. Number 2/3 are split between looks and reliability.
