Coupes, cabs, sedans, M, non-M, 10/10 will tear. Only wagons are safe. If you do the subframe, do the subframe bushings too. Subframe is dropped so you'd be an idiot for not doing the subframe bushings. Also do the trailing arm bushings because it's all out.

Get aluminum bushings, there's a reason why subframes kept tearing from E36 to E46. E90 stopped tearing, why? Aluminum subframe bushing.

If it's a hack job reinforcement cutting corners, it's cheap. If you do it properly, it really adds up.

Also to mention, if it's a pre 2003.5 you'll need front strut top reinforcement plate and strut bar, rear strut top reinforcement plate. The strut tops tear too.

even with the different design, with high mileage and age, even wagons aren't safe.
