They invented tablets for people like you, way less laggy for the same price and basic function. Word processing with an addition of a keyboard like the ASUS transformer. Getting an HDMI to VGA adapter would solve the projector issue.

If you're set on a laptop I would skip anything Acer at that price.... never again! had two and hard drive died in both in less than 5 years... so if you're getting a used one.. even worse. Also have an mini ASUS 9inch laptop since 2009... lags like hell (takes a good 10 minutes to boot) but the hard drive still going strong, also powerful enough to run Photoshop and AutoCAD at the same time
