They are the old Zipp 404s before they became full carbon and got the Firecrest shape. At 1825g, are pretty much boat anchors, but on the other hand, they are a deep wheel and should give some serious aero benefit. The newer Firecrest 404s should be both less drag in a straight line and less affected by cross winds trying to blow you into oncoming traffic. They are very narrow which is certainly the opposite of what most are trying to do these days as wider wheels with slightly larger tires have demonstrated that they are not only more comfortable, but actually faster in most circumstances.

What is your typical riding pace and type - group, solo, mostly flats, hillclimber...
