Smaller GSR brakes and 4 lug are the notable differences as the USDM/CDM came with the anemic cast header and the 4.4FD. The JDM '98 spec enjoyed the SS 4-1 2.5" collector header, 4.7xx FD, 16" wheels, CF spark plug cover, Momo w/airbag and some other subtle stuff. '00-'01 ITR's got the more aggressive intake camshaft and immobilizer. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff.
Noticed my 96 was missing rear wiper (my 2000 usdm had a rear wiper)

Supposed to have thinner glass on the J spec cars.

Different front and rear crash bars.

Fuel cut was higher on j spec car.

Smaller battery on J spec (if oem 96 battery size)

Gear 4-5 taller to compensate for shorter final drive on 98+ transmission.

J spec has different fuel Evap system.

All I can think of from the top of my head to add to j spec difference.

Some type Rs were missing air bags. (Some 98+ were sold without front air bags and some 96 as well)
