Yea same, I've read posts that explain move set > CP. But there's no attack or defend or speed like in regular pokemon games its all CP.

The battling system in gyms is all spamming anyways lol. Until they update it with actual turn by turn system then CP > MOVE SET.
The Special attacks long press/hold does a lot more damage but you gotta build it up and take punishment/health on your Pokemon.
