Go with whichever bag meets your needs. I don't like tower bags (or anything with wheels) because they take up too much space in the car and dressing room.
I am a traditionalist and have always used pro style carry bags. A quality one will last forever compared to their wheeled counterparts. They are built better and there are less parts to break or go wrong.
