So what do you guys do when you're almost maxed out on pokemons (250)? Do you just keep the highest CP version and transfer everything else for candy?

Initially, I thought about keeping the 10CP XL/XS versions in case I want to raise one from scratch. But seems like it's a waste of stardust, and the XL/XS stats seems to change once you evolve.
