I just caught a Dragonite from my apartment! He wasn't on the nearby tracker either.

Threw a berry and 2 great balls. The curve ball glitch happened because I went into my bag again, but luckily he was so big that my curve balls still hit him hahaha

Only 150cp though :<... but the CP bar is really low, so he technically has high potential ;o
