Lack of experience is a given so I do have to give OP credit; it's how you can't even handle entry level questions that makes you epic fail and not get a call back.
top 5 fails.
1) candidate doesn't smile (even on the phone you can tell)
2) no sense of passion or excitement during a conversation
3) doesn't show any means of answering outside of the scope of question.
4) short answers
5) lack of manners.
