Not really diecast, but a mix of fantasy and reality

Hi guys,

I would like to share... although this isn't really diecast.

This is an on going project, that I have been working on for the past few months. It is not done yet, but I would like to share this work in progress.

I was inspired by another modeler's posting, and the hip hop Stormtrooper.

I bought the Stormtrooper kit from Bandai. I think it looks better than the Black Series Troopers. This kit is in 1/12th scale Tamiya kit. For those who do not build models, Tamiya makes one of the best 1/12 scale model bikes. And they released a Ducati 1199 Panigale a few years back, which is one of the most beautiful bikes in production. (Although, my favorite is the RC45). I think the design of the 1199 suits well for a Stormtrooper. Although the bike is not a Pocher 1/4 scale kit, the Tamiya version is just as detailed, only in 1/12th scale.

Here is my work in progress so far.

It all started with the Bandai kit. Very in expensive. $28.00 bought off Amazon.ca includes free shipping from Japan.

I painted it bright red and masked off the white, and made Adidas Trooper

The final figure is very posable, and various weapons are included. I modified the shoes to make them look like Adidas Superstars. The only item I still need to add is a clock hanging from it's neck Flava Flav style.

This is what I think a Stormtrooper would ride.

This is what I have built so far. I used the Detail Up set from Tamiya. This set has metal forks, and hex nuts for the front disk brakes
(I have not placed them on yet), and a few other metal enhancements.

The fairings will be painted pearl white. Once the bike is built, I will scratch build Death Star Interior for the bike and figure.
I hope it will look nice.

Again, I know this isn't a diecast, but I thought something different and out the ordinary is fun sometimes.

I will keep you guys posted.

Thank you for looking.

William
