I guess if you grew up there and that's all you're accustomed to everyone living in 12F+ highrises that's fine...probably not fun for Westerners adjusting, even a few days there I felt clusterphobic haha

Actually it's not as bad as people say it is. I've met many westerners that love working here. In fact, there's way more to do here than there is to do in Vancouver. People are also more friendly and outgoing than in Vancouver. Also if I wanted I could easily do a weekend trip to Japan, Korea or any other nearby Asian country. You can't do anything like that in Vancouver.
The work culture is harder than Vancouver no doubt, but it gets rid of the useless dirtbags that abuse the union system in Canada. Coworkers are also more closeknit and do more stuff outside of work together.
