I'm missing another ASHL game tonight. What pisses me off is that we had such a great start. I was playing awesome, and the team was winning. Then the groin let go. I advil'd it and continued to play, but couldn't perform like I was. I had a 3-2 OT loss, and the next game was a 5-4 OT loss. Going over my goalie journal after the fact, I realized that the injury was affecting my ability to move laterally which was affecting my performance.

Fast forward to 8/9 and I'm on the ice tonight for the first real practice since my injury.
Please, oh denizens of RevScene, heed my advice and be sure to stretch before you play.
Make it a habit now, so when you're 35 it's just something that you do.
2 Months and almost a thousand dollars of rehab and physio could have been avoided if I had taken my stretching seriously, like I had done for a year prior.
