or you let icbc do the leg work and take no risk (but a claim on your car)...
i'll take the latter. i don't have time to admin the repair and deal with the guy. next thing you know he'll be trying to negotiate with you, oh it's too expensive that's not really that damaged, etc....
especially if you plan on keeping the car makes little difference if there's a claim on it IMO
