i think where the pcie will be faster is when your doing a lot of reads and write at a given time like rendering. other than that for everyday use, its a waste of money. For work, i've seen some improvements from using a pcie m2 over regular 2.5ssd when rendering

for everyday use, just stick with the regular m2 drives or even the 2.5 ssd
