Wait what? You can still use your Fido Dollars? I thought they expired in July 2016.
What are you currently paying and what are you getting in that price? (your retentions plan).
And yes, that is exactly how it would work; you would pay off the remaining balance of the phone and re-sign a new 2 year agreement to get a new device at a subsidized price.
This method of phone agreements has been around since the iPhone 6 launched 2 years ago.
