I think SE asia might be my first trip because A) it's easy to get by on a budget and B) has been recommended by almost every one of my friends

I spent about $4200 + $1000 on drinks, so the total cost was 5200 for the trip. Should definitely do it this year, while the flights to Asia is around $550. Flights are pretty cheap once you get there. I would have done Laos as well if I had more time. I wish I knew Vietnamese would make Vietnam even more awesome than it already was.
