Honestly whether the salt will "hurt" your concrete really depends on how much you use AND what shape your concrete is in, don't use it if your concrete has cracks, you don't want the snow to melt and water to seep through your concrete cracks and expand... ALSO You are not supposed to use the salt to melt the snow so you don't need to shovel.. (I saw a guy just dump bags of salt on his driveway and walk away).
Oh pro tip.. if you do apply salt, do make sure there is a path for the water to run off, if not then you will get some black ice, when the ice eventually reforms. |
