Get
Eero or
Google Wifi if you are horrible with electronics.
Town house that has wood construction or have metal barriers for internals? and how high? Where is the modem? Wifi works as a sphere.
If metal (which blocks wifi) and you are technically able.. try Powerline adaptors, they turn your electrical panel to carry
network signals. The higher the speeds, the more wires (up to 3) they use. Although I suggest getting plain Powerline adaptors then add good routers.. but that can get expensive.
I assume you cannot or too late to wire Cat5.

The range on the Shaw modem/router sucks balls and I'm getting dropped constantly on the upstairs of my townhouse.
Would a range extender also be a good option? Or am I better off just getting a good router?
