Yea dealerships will use the lower of black book value, never the market value, then turn around and sell for at least 20% up (I don't blame them, businesses have to make money). I was potentially going to pick up a m3 this year, I was just wondering what they would give me for my s2k (06,75k km, no accidents, hardtop, local) and they offered me $19k LOL

But the upside with dealerships is you get "warranty" and it saves you the hassle of having to deal with craigslist people and risk getting a shitty car (which can be mitigated with a thorough check)
